Wide-Area Thermal Detection with Fewer Cameras
Depending on the selected sensor, lens, installation height, terrain, environmental conditions, target requirements, and line of sight, a single Thermal Radar™ can monitor an area of up to approximately 220 acres.
Thermal Radar™ rapidly rotates through configurable station stops to create a panoramic thermal view of the monitored environment. Onboard edge analytics evaluate each monitored area and generate geospatial detection information when qualifying people, vehicles, or other thermal activity are identified.

Hydra™: Thermal Detection with PTZ Visual Assessment
Hydra™ combines Thermal Radar™ with a compatible pan-tilt-zoom camera to provide layered detection and visual assessment across large outdoor environments.
Thermal Radar™ performs continuous wide-area thermal monitoring and geospatial detection. When qualifying activity is identified, Hydra™ sends ongoing slew-to-cue commands that direct the PTZ toward the event location.
The PTZ can then provide color, infrared, or other available imagery to support operator assessment. Thermal Radar™ continues monitoring the broader area while the PTZ is directed toward the qualified event.
Hydra™ may reduce the number of fixed thermal and visible-light cameras required for large-area protection by combining panoramic thermal detection with directed PTZ imagery.
